Reg park was an english bodybuilder , businessman and actor. He is famously known for being arnolds idol and mentor.   Reg was born on 7th june 1928 in leeds , west yorkshire. During his teenage years he excelled at football. In the year 1940 he suffered an knee injury which ruled him out of soccer. While using wwights for rehabiliation , reg encountered a bodybuilding magazine and decided to have a similar body. He was not only muscular but also very strong as he was the only second man to bench press 500lbs during that time , first being Doug Hepburn. At 21 , Reg moved to America where he stayed for 6 months and was noticed by Joe Weider. After which he was featured in alot of magazines. The most impressive thing about reg was that he was a drug free athlete. John Grimek and Steeve Reeves were his inspiration. He was inducted into IFBB hall of fame in 1999. Flex Lewis posted his training updates with his training partner on his instagram story. One of the main attraction of this years olympia is that flex will be making his mens open bodybuilding debut. He already has 7 Mr. Olympia titles to his name in the 212 category , so it will be intresting to see how he does at this years olympia.    Looking at the stories it can be said that he has gained some size and is obviously looking bigger than before . Although he doesnt need to increase a crazy amount of size because he is known for coming absolutely conditioned. Some might argue that he is small for mens open but we have already seen hadi choopan doing well in last years olympia who was also a 212 competitor previously. He is not a very tall guy but we have seen shorter builders doing well in previous years such as william bonac and hadi choopan.
