A strongman competitor by the name Ivan Makarov is in line to break Thor's 501kg deadlift world record. He will be attempting this lift in september. He has already attempted it previously but unfortunately could not complete it although he has lifted insane amount of weight during his gym training sessions which include 505kg deadlift and a 520kg of the block deadlift. He is a really strong guy and is expected to be the guy who would break hafthors record. In his recent training video he is seen deadlifting 440kgs for 2 reps and with him attempting the lift in september, it will be intresting to see if he can pull off this lift and become the world record holder for the  heaviest deadlift.

Will Barotti has broken the equipped bench press world record by benching 1105lb. The previous record was held by tiny meeker.This lift is really impressive considering benching or even deadlifting 1105lbs is no joke. It is not be confused with 800 lbs bench attempt made by julius maddox as it was the raw bench press and this one is a equipped. But this does not actually take away anything from Will because benching this amount of weight is not a peice of cake.
